Double-tap Command. A floating panel appears. Pause, rewind, skip ahead. Let go and it's gone.
Make the video transparent and layer it over your workspace. Right-click the video and enable ghost mode to watch and work in the same spot.
This is a Mac app. It looks like one, feels like one, and runs on Sequoia.
